Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine

Originally we met Marie & Andy of Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine at a WordCamp event we were volunteering at. At that time, they were simply looking for a little help getting their shipping prices in line along with a few additional updates. What we didn’t know is that would be the start of a long lasting relationship that would lead us to building a couple of new websites along with lots of SEO and help to get them really running online.

Challenges They Faced

• Products can be one of a kind and need to handle proper inventory & SEO
• We don’t want reviews to be lost when a product disappears
• Customers like to pick up orders at one of the two retail locations
• How can we increase SEO?

How we found solutions

We worked closely with Lisa-Marie’s to help them find solutions to each and every one of their problems. With a custom feed to print order shipping labels, they are easily able to move orders through the process and get them out to customers faster than before. Automated emails go out to the customers to let them know their order is on its way or is at the retail location to be picked up.

Their website now automatically follows up with the customer a couple days after receiving the order to ask them how they like their products and request that they leave a review. This is a great way to provide customer service without taking time away from managing the business.

When it comes to SEO, we focused heavily on making sure that all the redirects were in place, meta and alt tags were good to go and also encouraged them to start blogging on a regular basis to start ranking for more key terms.
