J.B. Gottstein is an awesome story that we love to talk about. They are located in Anchorage, Alaska and literally fly groceries to the most remote parts of the state, you know, like you see on those Discovery shows? Not too long ago, each of their customers had paper flyers that they would have to sort through in order to find the products they want to order. J.B. Gottstein reached out to us to take those products and put them online for their customers.

Custom IOS & Android App Development

In addition, J.B. Gottstein wanted to allow their clients to use their own phone to scan barcodes from their phones and then add to the cart to checkout. We accomplished this by creating custom mobile apps for both iPhone & Android devices. Users are able to search by scanning the barcode or using the search function and easily add to their shopping cart. Once complete, an easy checkout process allows them to move on to what they need to do - take care of business.

Our Goal & Getting It Done

Our goal was to allow for 20,000 - 100,000 products to live on a website and be updated on a weekly or even daily basis. In addition, due to Alaska being the largest state, the prices vary from location to location, so each customer must be appropriately zoned and view their pricing as well as their suggested MSRP. Let's just say - that's a lot of calculations on the fly! We were able to accomplish this and uploads take as little as 30 minutes to complete, so pricing can be updated quickly.
