6 Steps: Manage a Month of Your Business Marketing in 1 Day

7 Steps: Manage a Month of Your Business Marketing in 1 Day

You probably already know how many times you should post on social media each month. You totally agree that blogging plays a huge role in search engine rankings and conversion rates. Maybe you’ve even sat through a long Google Analytics course and thought, “Wow, I’m definitely going to use this!”

But let’s face it; marketing is a lot of work. A full time job amount of work.

So how can you leave the office and shut off your phone each day without feeling like you’ve failed your business?

What you need is an abbreviated marketing strategy that runs itself.

Step 1: Brainstorm lists of blog titles and keywords to target for the month.

The best content is written with inspiration. Do you feel inspired when it’s crunch time? Instead of forcing out a long list of blog titles all in one sitting, have a notepad or use your phone to note ideas for posts as they come to mind.

It could be something on TV, a question from a customer, or even an experience you had with another business that sparks an idea. Assign each post with a related keyword to target.

Step 2: Set aside a day and type, type, type!

This step really depends on your preference. While this can feel overwhelming to some, many would prefer to get all blogging out of the way at the start of each month.

This is the best way to ensure you’ll sit back and relax instead of worrying about writing after each already full day of work. Besides, you should already have a stockpile of inspirational topics and keywords to work off of.

Step 3: Organize each blog post in a calendar.

Many people underestimate the importance of using a simple calendar. This step is vital for keeping your posts in order and ensuring you’re fully covered each week.

If you choose to instead skip to Step 5 and avoid using a calendar template, it’s possible you’ll be kicking yourself later. Online software has been known to occasionally fail so another copy may prove a godsend.

Step 4: Add in social posts to promote them.

What better content to share on your business’s social media page than your own? Not only will this draw traffic back to your website, it should be much more relevant and appealing to your audience since it’s written with them in mind.

Step 5: Schedule them in an automatic social media publisher.

With a quick search in Google, you can find plenty of programs that allow you to schedule social media posts months in advance. Write your blogs, grab the URLs, and attach UTM codes that will allow link clicks to be tracked in Google Analytics.

After you have added these URLs to your social posts, you can schedule them to publish whenever you choose. This saves you a lot of time in the long run. Haven’t you ever wondered how marketers keep up with posting everyday?

Step 6: Monitor conveniently with free tools.

You don’t have delve into the depths of Google Analytics everyday to stay informed. Add important widgets to your dashboard and give them a quick review.

Another handy tool (by none other than Google) is Google Alerts. You can create alerts around specific terms, like your business name, and get notifications straight to your email whenever it is mentioned online. This saves you from searching across multiple platforms for customer reviews and public interaction on social media.

There you have it! Brew up some coffee tomorrow morning and get a month’s worth of marketing out of the way in 1 day.
